7th-grader, Gracie McClain was honored in a ceremony March 4, 2018 at the Edmond Metropolitan Library.  Ms. McClain was selected to represent Cheyenne Middle School by the American Association for University Women for the AAUW’s Girls Hall of Honor. There was five girls honored that evening, one from each of the Edmond middle schools.  These girls were selected based on their leadership abilities.  The spirit of leadership is demonstrated in values, confidence and the willingness to lead change in the world. Leaders embody a refreshing spirit: born of the values of friendliness, caring, support, confidence and a can-do attitude.  The honorees will be featured in the display case in the lobby of the Edmond Metropolitan Library during the month of March – Women’s History Month.
