🎶 Cheyenne’s 8th grade choir went caroling today! They started by serenading our front office staff, then shared their music with residents at Teal Creek Senior Living and the Wings Special Needs Community in Edmond, Oklahoma. 🎵✨

Cheyenne families enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit by attending our fine arts winter concerts! 🎶❄️

The band performed on December 8 in the North High School auditorium, followed by the choir concert on December 9. The orchestra wrapped up the season on December 11 in the Cheyenne Middle School gym.

Our students did an excellent job, and we’re so proud of their hard work and talent! 👏✨

🎉 Congratulations to our 7th graders, Nick Pechawer and Jeremy Zhou! 🎉
They are the winners of the Cheyenne Library Bookmark Design Contest! 📚✨

Students were challenged to design a bookmark inspired by the library, reading, or their favorite book—and Nick and Jeremy truly showed off their creativity with designs made especially for Cheyenne Middle School. Be sure to stop by the Media Center to pick up a copy of the winning bookmarks!

In front of a light blue background the word winners at the top, two bookmarks in the center, and the words Nick Pechawer and Jeremy Zhou at the bottom. The bookmark on the left says, "Reading is the future." It includes an aurora borealis at the top and robot head in the middle and planets, the sun, and a rocket ship and the bottom. The bookmark on the right says, "The Games Afoot" and "It's Time to Read' with a brick house that has a detective and desk lamp in one of the windows. It says, 21 B above the door and has a street light with a road sign that says, "Baker St."

On Friday, Officer Ross and "Detective Smith" took over Mrs. Crutchfield’s math class to help solve her “murder”! 🔎

Students worked together to crack integer problems that helped them narrow down the suspects. 🕵️‍♂️

Everyone teamed up, answered clues, and ultimately identified the culprit. Such a creative and engaging way to practice math skills! 👏✨

Señora Mills’ classes celebrated the Christmas season by making piñata ornaments. Students used strips of red, white, and green tissue paper to craft colorful ornaments resembling piñatas. Piñatas are a central part of Mexican Christmas celebrations enjoyed by families.
