8th Grade Students Reflect on the Oklahoma City Bombing
Before fall break, the elective teachers taught Cheyenne 8th graders meaningful lessons about the Oklahoma City Murrah Building bombing of April 19, 1995. Through activities like Leaving a Legacy, The Survivor Tree, Remembering the Victims , and The Investigation, students explored themes of resilience, hope, and remembrance.
The week concluded with a visit to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, where students experienced the story of that day and its lasting impact on our state and nation. 💛

On September 25, Cheyenne Middle School proudly celebrated outstanding student achievement during a special assembly honoring our September Students of the Month, Mustangs of Character, and Mighty Mustangs Award recipients! 🎉
🌟 Students of the Month: Students from each grade level were recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and strong character. Our teachers shared what makes each honoree a positive role model for their peers.
🐎 Mustangs of Character: These students were celebrated for consistently demonstrating our P.R.I.D.E. values: ⭐ Positive Attitude ⭐ Respect ⭐ Integrity ⭐ Dependability ⭐ Effort
👏 Mighty Mustangs Awards: We also took time to celebrate and recognize some of our amazing faculty and staff for their dedication and contributions to our school community!
To wrap up the celebration, students from each grade level competed in an exciting game of musical chairs. After eight rounds of fun and friendly competition, the 8th grade team claimed the victory! 🏆
